Have you been stuck and not inspired when doing something that you love? Things such as writing, recording a video/audio or creating. We all get stuck and we get into a rut that we don’t know how to get out of.
Today, I will share the things that I do to get inspired when I’m stuck in a rut.

Change your environment
By changing your environment you get a fresh new view.
It doesn’t have to be a drastic change. It could be just moving from one place to another. If you are in your office space, go to the kitchen counter or dining room and write.
If you are cooked up in the house, go to the park or Starbucks to get new ideas. When we are in the same space, we tend to get bored and get monotonous.

By creating a vision board you see what’s going to happen and what you need to do to make it happen. Your vision board could be digital or do it 90’s style. Cut up some magazine pictures, get a marker, paper, glue and a board and show your work. LOL
Go to Canva.com and make a picture of what you envision for yourself in that period of time. Give yourself the visual and perspective of your goal. When you look at this goal everyday, especially when you are in a rut and can’t get inspired. You will get your ideas in line and get it done.
Take a walk
Take a walk when you’re stuck. Walking is great exercise and helps your brain destress. When your brain is in distress, you can see things with a different perspective. Go for a walk in the park or around your neighborhood. Walk the dog, and you can destress and do a shore from your list all in one.
Walking gets your body moving and alert. It gets your brain alert and you can get inspired with new ideas and new things to do instead of the bad ones you were getting before.
Do something out of your comfort zone
Do something new. When you are in the comfort zone, you just do the same thing over and over again. When you get yourself out of that comfort it’s used to, you become observant.
You see things that you otherwise wouldn’t have seen. Do something you’ve never done before. Get your adrenaline going. Feel alive!

Watch a talks or interviews with experts
Watch a talk or an interview with experts. I like watching TED talks and YouTube interviews of people that inspire me. People such as Oprah, Brene Brown, Steve Jobs and more. I find these personalities fascinating. They have given me a new conviction on the way my life could be if I apply myself. If they accomplished so much and avoided so many obstacles in their lives and made a great successful life. I can do that too. That inspires me to move forward. If one person did it, another one can too. No!
Take a break
Not inspired at all. Take a break. Do something else. Let it marinate and come back to it when you think it’s time to continue. Taking a break it’s healthy. Get a snack and watch a show or movie. Take a nap and rest and go back to it. Do your favorite thing and come back to it. Mine is shopping. So bad, but so good!
Take a break and you'll come back better and stronger.

Ge inspired
Inspiration is a strange thing. Inspiration can come to you in strange ways. You know yourself and know what you’re like. These are some ways that have helped me get inspired when I’m in a rut and not in the mood of creating.
I love being inspired. I have a lot of hobbies and things I want and like to do with my time. I have ideas and nothing comes to fruition if I don’t have inspiration or will to complete set things. Go and create beautiful things out there. The world is waiting for you to show them what you are capable of.
Be your better self!
